Landlord FAQs
We need the tenant's:
- title (Mr, Mrs, Ms etc.)
- first name(s)
- surname(s)
- contact details - email or telephone number
We would also like to know, if possible:
- their date of birth
- any previous addresses
As for what information can you share under GDPR, we have a helpful guide available to download at the bottom of this page.
No, the Landlord Tap is used to:
- add and remove properties from your rental portfolio, and
- let water and sewerage companies know about tenant changes
Great news, we can combine all your rental properties into a 'Scheduled Account'.
What's that?
A Scheduled Account means you can have several properties on one bill. You'll still see the breakdown of what each property costs, but you won't get lots of bills any more.
For more information, please call our Landlord team on
0345 850 6421.
If your tenant pays their water bill directly to us, they do not need your permission to have a water meter fitted (Renters’ Rights Act 2025).
However, their tenancy agreement may require your permission if any alterations need to be made to the property. When fittng a water meter, we may need to make small changes, such as cutting into cupboards or replacing the boundary box outside. If this is necessary, we will always let the tenant before we start.
For more information about fitting water meters, please go to Section 4 of the terms and conditions (PDF, 207KB).
