Our two Water Forums are a vital part of us achieving our vision of being the national leader in the provision of sustainable water and wastewater services. How? They challenge us to always make sure we put our customers at the heart of our future plans and pricing.
All water companies have their own such ‘customer challenge group’ (as they’re known in industry circles), albeit with different names to ours.
We have a Water Forum for Northumbrian Water, and one for Essex & Suffolk Water. The members are not our employees; they’re all independent, with a perfect mixture of experience, knowledge and networks that puts them on the front foot for challenging our thinking and kick-starting dialogue about important customer issues.
Their job isn’t to run the company or to make decisions (that’s for the Board and the leadership team to do); it’s to represent customers and challenge the company to understand the impact of its decisions before they’re taken.
