Our region

Northumbrian Water operates in the North-east of England providing water and sewerage services to over 2.6 million customers. We cover an area from the Scottish border southwards to North Yorkshire and westwards into Cumbria.

We have twenty two reservoirs ranging in size from the largest man-made reservoir in north-west Europe, Kielder Water, to the smallest ones like Hisehope and Smiddy Shaw located on Muggleswick Common in County Durham.
