Revised Draft Water Resources Management Plan 2024
Revised Draft WRMP24

Water Resource Management Plans (WRMP) are updated every five years. We published our draft Water Resources Management Plan (dWRMP) for consultation in November 2022 and it closed on Friday 24 February 2023. Our WRMP sets out how we make sure we can continue to deliver clean, clear drinking water in the future, even in the most severe drought. In sharing these plans in draft form, we hoped to get as many views from our customers and stakeholders as possible to help develop our final plan. Our plan will mean that we will have enough water supplies to meet forecasted demand over the next 50 years and beyond, even in the most extreme of droughts.

Following the consultation, we have reviewed the feedback we received and published our Statement of Response on Monday 31 July 2023. This advises how we have taken account of each response to our revised draft WRMP and below is our revised draft WRMP and relevant documentation. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation.

The key change in this revised draft WRMP24 is that we intend to be more ambitious with reducing leakage from our network by 55% by 2050 as we know this is important to our customers.

The WRMP is a key component of our wider business plan that we are currently developing for 2025-30 and this is due to be published on Monday 2 October 2023.
