If you're planning any development work or construction, such as an extension, it's important that you determine the local drainage arrangements on your land.

If there is a sewer within 3 metres of your proposed works, you'll need our consent before your works can begin.

 

This is to protect the sewer and the building from possible damage to each other and to ensure that access to the sewer is not adversely affected.

 

If you can meet certain conditions, your project will be approved, and we'll let you get on with your build! Where a project doesn't meet those conditions, we'll work with you to give our consent with a formal build over agreement.
