Northumbrian Water has been awarded 5 stars in the Recognised for Excellence (R4E) programme.
Northumbrian Water provides water and sewerage services to 2.7 million people in the north east of England. It covers the major population centres of Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside as well as large rural areas in Northumberland and County Durham.
R4E is Europe′s leading recognition programme for organisational performance, and forms part of the EFQM Levels of Excellence. Northumbrian Water has been awarded the highest grade of 5 stars in recognition of its very high standard of performance. This accomplishment is all the more impressive for having been achieved on its first application.
′I am extremely proud of this achievement as it recognises that we are a great company that delivers a great service to our customers. It also clearly demonstrates our on-going commitment to being national leader in our industry. This is the first time we have experienced such a comprehensive and holistic assessment process, covering every aspect of what we do. The feedback we have received will help us to identify and prioritise further opportunities to improve, as well as recognise what we do well.′
Heidi Mottram, CEO, Northumbrian Water
′One of Northumbrian Water′s values is ‘We take personal responsibility for achieving excellent business results′, and achieving R4E 5 Star demonstrates that they are delivering on this. A very impressive performance.′
