Northumbrian Water has selected infrastructure specialist Barhale as one of its AMP 5 framework partners for the delivery of infrastructure works throughout its operating areas in the North East, Essex and Suffolk.
Works include new assets, renewals, modifications and extensions to wastewater infrastructure schemes including sewerage overflows, sewer flooding, and new development works. In addition the scope of works includes water infrastructure work relating to strategic mains.
The framework commences in April 2011 for an initial four year period with an option of a four year extension.
With this award, Barhale has secured AMP 5 frameworks with five English water companies and also with Scottish Water. In addition to Northumbrian, Barhale is working as a delivery partner in England for Anglian Water. And with its joint venture partners Barhale also supports Thames Water, Southern Water and Yorkshire Water.
In total, Barhale has secured an AMP 5 order book of around £450m covering both capital and maintenance works.
