Stars will line up alongside the general public in a world record bid.
Employees from Northumbrian Water and Bokwa Fitness will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people doing Bokwa at any one time.
Everyone is invited to workout alongside celebrities from Geordie Shore, Big Brother, BBC Newcastle, European Champion Medallists South Tyneside Cheerleaders and Fab Flournoy, Head Coach of the Newcastle Eagles.
The event, which will raise money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, will be held at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Sunday 7 July from 11am until 5pm.
Bokwa is a new and energising cardio workout routine which is rapidly spreading across the world. There are no counting steps because Bokwa steps are structured and based on letters and numbers – simply feel the music and freely move with the beat!
Helen Allister, Wastewater Graduate Trainee at Northumbrian Water, said: "We need all the support we can get for this event. Tell your friends, colleagues, family, neighbours – we need everyone to join in so we can make it in to the Guinness World Records.
"It’s going to be a fantastic day and of course it’s all in aid of a local charity. We are privileged to be part of a world first here in the north east!"
The event is part of Challenge 500 – a competition between businesses in our region to raise the most money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, an inspiring charity which provides services for disabled people and their families in the north east.
There will also be fantastic top first class raffle prizes on the day.
Carole Harder, Chief Executive of the Percy Hedley Foundation, said: "Over the past six months members of the Northumbrian Water Challenge 500 team have organised some absolutely fantastic events to raise money for the Foundation.
"This world record Bokwa attempt sounds like a really fun event and all money raised will help us continue to support the disabled children, young people and adults that we work with."
Everyone is welcome, whether or not you’ve tried Bokwa before or even heard of it!
