Tickets for a unique Santa experience in the north east will go on sale on Friday 28 September at 10am.
Once again Kielder’s magical forest landscape is set to be transformed into an enchanted Winter Wonderland, full of surprises and attractions for the whole family. Advice from event organisers, Northumbrian Water, is ‘book now so you don’t miss out’.
One of the most popular events in the calendar at Kielder Water & Forest Park, Kielder Winter Wonderland is a day-long celebration of all things Christmas and a firm favourite for families visiting the Park year after year.
The popular event sells out every year. Kevin Hudson, leisure manager at Northumbrian Water, that organizes the event with Dodgy Clutch Theatre Company, said: “Because this is such a popular event at Kielder Water & Forest Park, visitors must pre-book and be aware that tickets are not available on site”.
A day pass to Winter Wonderland gives access to a whole host of activities. In the Elves’ Workshop visitors will join Santa’s elves in their enchanted barn and help them to prepare for the big day by becoming toy makers. Mrs Christmas and her friends take visitors on a journey through the enchanted forest and there is also a Christmas Theatre show.
Kevin added: “The day isn’t complete without a visit to Santa’s Secret Hideaway, deep in the woods with elves to guide you and one of Santa’s
festive friends on hand to entertain along the way. For those who have been before we have a new activity for 2012; I can’t say too much but the forest Beavers have some surprises in store.”
With gifts for the whole family to take home, skating and snow tubing and the chance to visit Snowy Owl and friends at the Birds of Prey Centre, Kielder Winter Wonderland is an unforgettable action packed day out.

Quotes from previous Kielder Winter Wonderland customers:
“Father Christmas as he was just brilliant and exactly what you would imagine him to be like when you
are a kid.”
“I think that we enjoyed everything; I couldn′t fault it at all. Mrs Christmas was really nice and Santa was
magical. I really enjoyed the pantomime and thought that the actors were really good.”
“None of it was tacky, everything was good quality and the actors worked really hard. It was fantastic.”
“The actors and actresses, especially the girl in the elves workshop, were brilliant, very authentic. The
Santa was excellent too, very authentic again, and was able to tell my son what his favourite book, and
toy were, my sons jaw dropped. The owl on the way to see Santa was great too, amazing. There was
also a lot of interaction with the kids and it was good that he was able to make his toy.”
