Fishing team success at Rutland

Fishing team at Rutland

Members of Northumbrian Water’s fishing team were in the honours again when a team of four was second out of almost 100 anglers who took part in the Anglian Water WaterAid competition fished at Rutland reservoir.

Earlier this season seven members of the team were the outright winners in the Water Industry Game Fishing Championships and this latest success reflects the respected national reputation now held by both our anglers and our fisheries.

WaterAid team captain Don Coe said: "We are proud to run the biggest and most successful stillwater trout fishing business in Europe and we are very pleased to now have earned a similar leading position in the fishing competition world as well."

Jean Spencer, Anglian Water Director of Regulation presented our team: Alistair Baker, Communications & PR manager; Don Coe Operations Manager Waterside Parks; Brian Lillie, scientific support team leader and distribution maintenance operative Kevin Pick with their trophies.
