Louise Hunter will be the new Director of Corporate Affairs at Northumbrian Water.
It is an internal appointment and promotion for Louise who initially joined the water company to lead its sustainability strategy as Head of Corporate Responsibility.
She takes over from existing Director of Corporate Affairs, John Mowbray when he retires next month.
Louise was recruited by Northumbrian Water six years ago when she was then acting Regional Director of Business in the Community.
Louise, who was born in Blyth, Northumberland, and now lives in Gosforth, Newcastle, was a pupil at Tynedale High in her home town and went on to study accounts, economics and finance at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, starting her employment career as a trainee Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the Scottish capital.

John Mowbray, who has just been honoured in the Queen’s jubilee birthday list with an OBE for services to the water industry and charity, retires from Northumbrian Water on 3 August, 2012.
Louise is married to husband Phil and they have two children, Thomas aged two and Charlotte, five.
