Curator to lead tours of Kielder art

27 July 2016

Peter Sharpe, curator of the Kielder Art & Architecture Programme, will lead two special tours of England’s largest open air gallery.

The tours will take place on Sunday, August 7th and Sunday, September 4th, taking in established art, as well as newer additions to the collection.

The three-hour tours start at 1.30pm on both days and cost £10 per person, or £25 for a family group of two adults and two children. Tours start at Kielder Castle Visitor Centre.

The events are an opportunity to learn about the inspiration and development of some of Kielder′s most iconic pieces, including Silvas Capitalis (the Forest Head), Janus Chairs, Belvedere, and Kielder Skyspace.

Transport will be provided and attendees will not need to walk far, although waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear are recommended.

Booking is essential. Further information and bookings can be made on 0845 155 0236.
