WATER DAY AT CALVERT TRUST KIELDER
Try your hand at canoeing or kayaking on the beautiful Kielder Water. Age 5+.

WORKING FOREST AT KIELDER CASTLE
Find out what goes on behind the scenes in one of Europe′s largest planted forests on this fascinating minibus tour. A chance to get up close with some monster machines. All ages welcome.

SOLAR TELESCOPES AT KIELDER OBSERVATORY
Use our powerful telescope to look directly and safely at the sun - see the whole disc in the summer sky. A unique family daytime astronomy event. Age 5+.

HIGH ROPES DAY AT CALVERT TRUST KIELDER
Tackle the hanging cargo net, sprint along the swinging logs, make it across the balancing beams. Be brave, take the leap of faith. Age 5+.

SWING AND CLIMB DAY AT CALVERT TRUST KIELDER
Fly through the air on the brilliant King-swing or conquer our mighty indoor climbing wall. (indoor wall also comes with a session on the Velcro Olympics) Age 5+.

A fun-packed family event including an interactive multimedia presentation, talks with astronomers, a tour of the Observatories and using our powerful telescopes to investigate the sun. Age 5+.

SURVIVAL TRAINING UK
Learn the basics of outdoor survival; shelter building, fire starting, food prep and cooking and natural navigation. All courses are hands on – choose between an 8 hour or 24 hour session. Age 15+,

Kielder Water & Forest Park Development Trust is a registered charity working to develop the Park as an inspirational place. It aims to improve economic, social and environmental sustainability, provide public recreation and leisure facilities, facilitate education in all aspects of the natural environment and advance art and architecture in the Park. Affiliate organisations that are not members but have a close working relationship with KWFPDT include Arts Council England, Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Environment Agency, The Scout Association and local decision making bodies such as the parish councils
