Sewage treatment facilities in a Northumberland village are to receive a £600,000 upgrade.
Northumbrian Water is to carry out work at Horncliffe, near Berwick, which will involve moving and upgrading two septic tanks.
The work begins on March 8 and will take up to four months. The tanks, one north and one south of the village, serve more than 100 properties.
Residents are being invited to find out more at a customer information session on March 4 at Horncliffe Village Hall, Main Street, Horncliffe, between 4pm and 7pm.
David McDermott , Northumbrian Water's project manager, said: "This work is part of our multi-million pound programme to ensure we provide effective and efficient waste water treatment. The new tank located north of the village, near to the public footpath off Tofts Lane, will hold and treat up to 60,000 litres of waste water."
