2008 Utility Industry Achievement Awards Winners

11/12/2008

London's Grosvenor House Hotel was again rocking to the utility beat on Monday as 1,200 guests came together for the Utility Industry Achievement Awards.

Top comedian Rory Bremner had them rolling in the aisles with his unique take on world and utility affairs while an authentic Chinese circus wowed the audience with spectacular tricks and dancing.

EDF Energy and Thames Water were the big winners on the night, picking up two trophies each, and one of the loudest cheers of the night was when Thames was named winner of the Marketing award for its London on Tap campaign.

Utility Week would like to thank all our sponsors for their support: Abeam, AMT-Sybex, Cognizant, DHL Exel Supply Chain and Wipro, plus Mouchel, Revenue Assurance, Tata Consultancy Services and Thames Water. The ever-popular charity casino sponsored by Revenue Assurance raised over £8,000 for WaterAid.

Thank you to everyone who entered the awards, our judges for giving up their time to pick the finalists and winners and our sponsors. See you next year!
