THE Rotary Club of Blyth present their annual Christmas Concert in St Cuthbert's Church Blyth on Friday, December 7.
Once again the concert will bring together the Northumbrian Water Ellington Colliery Band and the Blyth Music and Theatre Company Singers.
Julie Pargeter, musical director of 'The Singers' told the News Post Leader: "We are so pleased to be taking part again in Blyth Rotary's Christmas concert and our choir will sing many new selections for our audience at St Cuthbert's.
"We will feature two medley's from musicals, Disney's Aladdin and the timeless Fiddler on the roof and special arrangements of Mack the Knife and Can't help falling in Love.
"We will have two special guests appearing too, teenagers Grace Cameron and Kendal Dowson who sang with us earlier in the year at Horton Church and at the Phoenix Theatre.
"They will sing songs written by one of our members Reg Chapple, Kendal will sing 'Dear Lord My Lord' and Grace will perform 'Heavens Precious Child'.
"The concert will end with the choir and the audience joining the Ellington Colliery Band in a selection of Christmas carols."
A Concert for Christmas Time is for one night only Friday, December 7, at 7.15pm, tickets are £3.50 which includes interval light refreshments, and can be obtained from John Gunn secretary of Blyth Rotary on (01670) 363081 or from St Cuthbert's Church or from members of Ellington Band and the Blyth Music and Theatre Singers.
