Emergency traffic regulation order for Pandon Bank

30/10/2007

The following emergency temporary measures will be taking place from Wednesday 24 October 2007, for 21 days.

During routine investigations by Northumbrian Water on Pandon Bank, a major collapsed drain has been discovered which has resulted in serious voids under the carriageway. It has been necessary to effect an Emergency Traffic Regulation Order for the closure of part of Pandon Bank to enable further investigation and subsequent remedial works to take place.

This will involve the closure of the left turn from Melbourne Street into Pandon bank with traffic being diverted eastwards along Melbourne Street to Crawhall Road and then on to City Road.

At this stage it is not known whether a further temporary TRO will be required, however I will keep you informed of progress.
