Will I be better off on a meter?

The first step to help you decide whether a water meter is right for your business is to check the following example. This illustrates what the comparison would be between the unmetered and metered charges for a commercial property with a rateable value of £600 which requires a 20mm sized meter, does not have a joint supply, and the owner estimates their consumption to be 100 cubic metres (m3) per year.

 Rateable Value Charge Water     £600 (RV) x 43.13p per £ RV = £258.78
