Metering
Installing a water meter could save you money as in addition to the fixed charge you only pay for the water you use.
Paying for what you use also means that less water is wasted which helps conserve valuable water resources. And that's good news for the environment.
The benefits of having a meter include:
- you pay for the water you use - after you've used it.
- there's a free survey (where we discuss the right location for the meter).
- you can spread the cost of your bills by paying monthly by direct debit.
Selective Metering
It is our policy to meter business properties wherever practicable and we have a programme to selectively meter the majority of those non-domestic properties that are currently unmetered.
This includes mixed use properties where the non-domestic part is the principal use of the premises.
This also includes non-domestic properties where water is used for domestic purposes and/or the property is in multiple occupation for example, guest houses, nursing homes etc.
The meter installation is free in these cases.
