Metered charges - commercial
These charges cover the cost of supplying your clean water and the removal and treatment of your wastewater. And, if you pay by Direct Debit directly to us, this amount is reduced by up to £6.00.
Charges
Your metered water and sewerage services bills are in two parts:
For water you pay:
• A fixed charge according to the size of the meter (see table below).
• A charge of 105.38p per cubic metre.

For sewerage you pay:
• a charge of 97.42p per cubic metre.

Not connected for surface water drainage?
Surface water drainage charges cover the cost of removing and treating surface water (rainwater) from your site or property. Included in the surface water drainage charge is a charge for highway drainage.
For metered business customers, where it can be demonstrated that a property does not drain any or part of its surface water or groundwater either directly or indirectly to Northumbrian Water’s systems, a reduction in charges is available.
