Water regulator, Ofwat has approved NWL's focus tariffs from April 2004 for customers using over 20,000 cubic metres of water a year. These cover both water and sewerage charges.
The process of agreeing future charges with Ofwat is normally on a five year basis known as the Periodic Review. All industrial and commercial organisations use water - most take it for granted. Many organisations could probably reduce their water consumption very simply and inexpensively.
Following on from our series of successful seminars on Landfill Directive, IPPC Regulations and Waste Minimisation, Northumbrian Water hosted a seminar to provide further awareness and understanding of maintaining the balance between water use, waste produced and costs, and the benefits available to you and your company.
