The business charter

Northumbrian Water provides water services to around 80,000 business customers in the region. As an important and valued customer, you should expect a consistently high quality of service from us. Our business charter represents a customer care package which covers the service standards we promise to deliver – and how we will compensate you if we fail to deliver.

Our charter covers these areas:

  • Billing queries.
  • Written complaints.
  • Telephone complaints.
  • Appointments.
  • Interruption to your supply.
  • Meter services.
  • Drinking water quality.
  • New supply connections.
  • Flooding from our water mains or sewerage system.

The majority of our compensation payments are made automatically. If not, the charter sets out clearly what you need to do to make a claim.
