Investing in the future

We are nearly 2 years through our latest 5 year investment programme and, so far, we have invested around £350m within the communities in which we serve. Our aim is to build a secure and sustainable future for the regions water and wastewater services whilst maintaining low costs for our customers.

Areas of investment include:-

• a programme of renovation of cast iron water mains to improve water quality
• improvements to water treatment works to reduce the risk from pesticides
• a programme of improvements to overflows on the sewerage network
• further improvements at sewage treatment works to comply with european directives
• ongoing maintenance across the whole asset base
