A tour around Kielder Water and the surrounding landscape will allow you to appreciate the beauty that the area has to offer. Kielder Water & Forest Park is home to an exciting array of flora and fauna alongside red squirrel, otter and many species of birds of prey.
It really is a great place to get in touch with and explore Northumberland with local events planned throughout the year. Our visitor centre at Tower Knowe holds the Kielder Water exhibition, the Osprey Ferry which takes you on a cruise around northern Europe's largest man made lake, a gift shop which stocks clothing from the nearby Otterburn Mill and the newly opened Cafe on the water, where you can enjoy refreshments and light bites. Our sites have designated coach parking and award winning toilet facilities to help make your trip run as smoothly as possible.
Kielder Water & Forest Park is an excellent place to visit as part of a wider trip due to its location in the centre of northern England. It is approximately a one hour drive from Newcastle or Carlisle and in easy communting distance from Otterburn, Reghed and Gretna.
