Activities

Kielder Play Garden
Play Garden at LeaplishAn adventurous addition to Kielder Partnerships programme of art and architectural commissions. Play Garden provides a new and unusual playground for children visiting Leaplish Waterside Park.

Designed by Zone Architects in Edinburgh in collaboration with Yorkshire based Image Playgrounds it was officially opened on 14 September 2006.

Play Garden uses a combination of landscape design, sculptural elements, state of the art play equipment and brightly patterned tower structures to transform an area of
Leaplish Waterside Park into a miniature landscape suitable for children of all ages
to play in.

Mini golf - Mapping
Mapping is the new challenging and interactive way of playing minigolf. The 13 hole golf course which has been designed by a local artist, overlaps two maps of the Kielder area – one present and one past.

There is no designated route which allows the players to create their own course, so it can be different every time you play. As part of the Kielder Art and Architecture scheme, the course is both visually stunning and a fun activity for all the family.
