Performance summary 2009/10

Contribute to 95% of Sites of Special Scientific Interest being in favourable condition or recovering by 2010.
Undertake a rolling programme to ensure that habitat surveys of all important ecological sites (i.e. as identified by previous surveys) are no more than ten years old.
Monitor species/habitats at three key sites to demonstrate compliance with the NERC (Natural Environment and Rural Communities) Act Duty to restore, maintain or enhance (where feasible) biodiversity.
Work with Regional Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) Partnerships to help identify and deliver specific actions for key species and habitats listed under the UK BAP.

Develop habitat survey strategy to help plan and guide future survey programmes for all important ecological sites.
Demonstrate compliance with the NERC (Natural Environment and Rural Communities) Act Duty to restore, maintain or enhance (where feasible) biodiversity and raise awareness of biodiversity to employees.
Work with Regional Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) Partnerships to help identify and deliver specific actions for key species and habitats listed under the UK BAP.
